Terms and Conditions for Membership in Algerians Abroad

1. Introduction
By joining Algerians Abroad, a nonprofit organization registered in the Netherlands, you agree to
abide by the following terms and conditions. These govern your participation in our community,
events, online platforms, and any services we provide.

2. Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals who identify as part of the Algerian diaspora or who have a
professional or academic interest in Algeria. By registering, you confirm that all information
provided is accurate and truthful.

3. Code of Conduct
As a member, you agree to:
Treat all members with respect, professionalism, and courtesy.
Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or harmful language or behavior.
Refrain from using the community for political propaganda, unauthorized commercial promotion,
or solicitation.
Maintain confidentiality of information shared within private member spaces unless explicit
consent is given for disclosure.

4. Use of Platform
Members may access shared resources, participate in events, and engage with others through
official channels of Algerians Abroad. You agree not to misuse or disrupt any platform, or
engage in activities that may harm the reputation or operations of the organization.

5. Intellectual Property
Content shared by Algerians Abroad (including logos, materials, presentations, and recordings)
remains the intellectual property of the organization unless stated otherwise. Members may not
distribute, reproduce, or use such materials for external purposes without written permission.

6. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and process your personal data in accordance with applicable Dutch and EU data
protection laws (GDPR). Your information will be used solely for community management,
communications, and improvement of services. We will not sell or disclose your personal data to
third parties without your consent, except where legally required.

7. Termination of Membership
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership if you violate these terms,
engage in misconduct, or act in ways that undermine the mission of Algerians Abroad. Members
may voluntarily withdraw at any time by notifying the organization.

8. Liability Disclaimer
Algerians Abroad is not responsible for any personal or financial outcomes resulting from
connections, advice, or information shared within the community. Members engage and
collaborate at their own discretion and risk.

9. Amendments
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Members will be notified of
significant changes, and continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the
revised terms.

10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising under these
Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

11. Liability Disclaimer

The Algerians Abroad Foundation (or Algerians Abroad Organization) operates solely as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and community engagement. The Foundation is not responsible or liable for the personal conduct, background, or independent activities of its members or participants outside the official scope of Algerians Abroad activities.

The official scope of Algerians Abroad is strictly defined and approved by its board members through written descriptions, official announcements, or formal communications. Any actions, statements, or engagements undertaken by individuals in their personal or professional capacities do not represent or involve the Foundation, and shall not create any form of legal, financial, or reputational liability for Algerians Abroad.

By joining Algerians Abroad, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to
these Terms and Conditions.
